Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
This policy explains what information Zeezoo (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Zeezoo you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account: your email address and a password (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us).
- Profile: your display name, tagline, and profile photo.
- Content you create: posts (photos, videos, captions), shared event albums, and messages you send in direct chats and event chats.
- Events: event titles, notes, dates, locations you add, and your RSVPs.
- Location: if you choose to tag a post or event with a location, or use “near me” in Discover, we use your device’s location for that action. We only access location when you ask us to.
- Contacts: if you use “Invite from contacts”, we read your contacts on your device so you can text an invite. Your contacts are NOT uploaded to or stored on our servers.
- Basic technical information needed to operate the app.
2. How we use your information
To create and run your account; to show your content to the people you choose (friends only, or public); to coordinate events and RSVPs; to send you reminders; to power Discover and location features; and to keep the service safe.
3. How your information is shared
- With other users, according to your choices — for example, “public” posts are visible to anyone using Zeezoo, and “friends only” content is shown in the app only to your accepted friends.
- With our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which hosts our database, file storage, and authentication on our behalf.
- We do NOT sell your personal information.
4. Storage and security
Your data is stored with Supabase and protected by database security rules that restrict who can see each item in the app.
Please understand one important limit: the photos and videos you upload are stored at long, unguessable web addresses. Those addresses are not listed anywhere and cannot realistically be guessed, but they are not password-protected. That means anyone who obtains the direct link to one of your photos or videos — for example if a link is forwarded, or if someone who could see the post saves the link — may still be able to open it later, even if the post is “friends only”, or if you later remove that person as a friend, block them, or delete the post. Please don’t upload anything you would not want seen if the link were shared.
We use unguessable addresses rather than public listings, and we’re working to tighten this further.
5. Your choices and rights
- Edit or remove your profile details and posts at any time.
- Control who sees each post (friends only or public).
- Report content and block users you don’t want to interact with.
- Archive (deactivate) your account, or permanently delete your account and its data, from Settings.
6. Children
Zeezoo is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). Do not use Zeezoo if you are under that age.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
